Raised in the heart of the Midwest, the members of Traveler’s Dream feel a deep attachment to the landscape, history, and musical heritage of the place they call home. Their music preserves songs and tunes that were carried by land and sea to the heartland, shaping the distinctive musical traditions of the Midwest.

Multi-instrumentalists Denise Wilson, Michael Lewis, Chance Heasty, and guest Taylor Stirm captivate listeners with hard-driving Celtic jigs and reels, sea shanties, haunting ballads, and story songs that trace their origins to old-world Europe and early America. Blending centuries-old tunes with driving rhythms and modern arrangements, Traveler’s Dream features powerful voices alongside a textured mix of fiddle, concertina, fife, uilleann pipes, guitar, Irish flute and whistles, and octave mandolin.

Decades of performing together have forged a tight, intuitive ensemble that delivers a polished and confident sound.  Since 2001 Traveler’s Dream has recorded five CD’s and performed widely at festivals, cultural celebrations, and historical events. Whether on festival stages or in intimate venues, these seasoned performers carry forward a living tradition, tell stories, spark laughter, and leave listeners feeling like they were part of a shared circle of music and connection.
